Department Stores

Kettering Borough has a population of over 90,000, with three quarters of people living in the main town of Kettering.  An application for a further 5,500 homes has received outline planning approval and a major marketing campaign is targeting people relocating out of London and the South East.

The current and future demographics make Kettering a good location for a major Department Store and this would cement its position as the prime retail centre for the sub-region. Given the fact that there is currently no Department Store in Kettering, there is an opportunity to attain a first mover advantage, secure a prime location and input into the design, look and feel of the town centre.
