Kettering and District Art Society – 106th Annual Exhibition

Kettering Borough Council is very proud to host the 106th Annual Exhibition of Kettering and District Art Society. 108 paintings will be exhibited at The Alfred East Art Gallery in Kettering.from the 10th September to the 15th October. The majority of the paintings are for sale and they represent a strong body of work from some of the county’s most prolific artists!

The exhibition demonstrates the wide diversity from members of one of the longest-standing Art Societies in the UK.

In addition some of the artists will be providing FREE ‘Introduction’ Workshops Booking is recommended as places are limited.

10 September – Coil Pottery By Stella Benford  10am – 1pm

Bring an apron. Materials and tools provided

£5 if you would like your pot fired

13 September to 15 September 1pm – 4pm – Free Portrait Sittings  with John Avery Taylor

Please note that the artist will retain his artwork.

24 September – Still Life Painting by Sue Lydia Taylor 10am – 1pm

Bring your own materials

8 October – Collage Making By Ian Luck

A certain amount of ‘source’ materials and PVA glues will be provided but it would help if artists provided some personal materials as well as old photographs, postcards, paper samples etc.

Valerie Hitchman, the Head of Community Services stated that ‘The exhibition demonstrates the wide diversity from members of one of the longest-standing Art Societies in the UK. Do come along and visit the gallery and take part in the workshops’

Councillor Steve Bellamy stated that:

‘The exhibition is indeed a celebration of local artists’ creativity and huge talent. It is a must for your diary. ’
